- PLEASE HELP - AC Compressor question - JDM H22a/ Sanden TRFO90
Im midway through the school of hard-knocks due to my AC system. I did a 93 JDM H22a swap into my 92. We didnt immediately charge my AC system. A little time goes by and the compressor locks up... due to not being charged, I dont know... Since mine is JDM, it has a 6 groove pulley instead of a five groove, and I want to keep it that way if possible. But they are hard to come by. Found a used one on ebay, bought it, put it on and tried to have it charged but it made a strange noise when powered and really bogged the idle almost to a stall. So I figure Im outa luck with that one. Just located another and am going to give it a shot. I am completely stupid when it comes th AC systems and am not even sure if i have been converted to 134a. I want to get this thing going and want to be sure to get everything right this time. I know they need an oil and the freon and that you can get some freons that include the oil. But Sanden's website reccommended not to use the combos. Does anyone know where/ how the oil is put in and what is everything that would need to be done to convert to 134a if needbe? THANKS!
