Default Anyone using Amuse Hi-Tech Dampers for the S2000?

Just read an article in the most recent edition of "Honda Tuning" about Bilstein-made Amuse "Hi-Tech" Dampers for the S2k. "These coilovers feature valved monotube gas shocks, progressive-rate springs, and adjustable ride height via solid aluminum spring seats and locknuts. They also come with factory hats that include hard rubber bushings so you don't have to reuse the old hats." Quoted from HT magazine.

Does anyone have any experience with this setup, or has anyone in the U.S. even seen this setup yet? Just curious..

What are your intentions for the car? Do you really need to spend 1K on coilovers? Or are you looking to tune it for something specific?

I ask these questions because your car cannot, even though your wallet has no eyes. This setup "sounds" ok. But that's just a minor upgrade. Bilstein shocks are good, but they are auto-adjustable. They basically valve themselves, but there is no adjustments for rebound or rebound & compression or anything else for that matter.

Also, these are height-adjustable. That means you MUST get them corner balanced or your car will suffer.

If you want a slick coilover setup, ask yourself why, and then read up on them. If you want a serious setup, which isn't going to be marketed under some JDM name, you can easily spend $5K. But stock is fine, up until ~30K miles and they are pretty shotty.

I am just curious about this setup. I figured they are expensive. I did not see any price in the article..

Sounds to me like they are a very basic, entry-level setup to compete with the Konis on the S... but with a JDM branding/endorsement like Amuse. Nothing more.
