11.8:1 compression on 91 octane?

Default 11.8:1 compression on 91 octane?

What do you guys think? Is it do-able (with JE pistons)?

yes, it is safe. I have heard as high as 12.6 w 92octane. BTW glad to see someone representing AZ.

val, when did arizona change to 91, i coulda swore I could still get 92 at chevron.
yu chaning your mind on engyn pistons?

It would depend on what you're timing is set to wouldn't it? I think hondas automatically retard the timing if it detects pinging, but I'm not sure.

val you can get 92 @ giant. I know its not hte best gas but im running 11:8+ as you know... and its the best i can get!

I don't think you'll have a problem. Just set your timing at about 14-16 deg. to start, retard a degree unitl you don't detonate(J&S would be ideal). I run 12.5:1 on 93 octane (avail. all over FLA.) at 14 degrees - no J&S yet and I do not detonate! Good Luck!
