Default eeek help, my brakes, wearing wierd!

OK so i heard a weird noise today coming from my rear brakes, i did a visual and the pads on the outside looks perfect, so i took the wheels off removed the caliper and looked at the ones on the insides and one side was ALL the way down scraping the metal thingy, and the other side, part of it was all the way down and part of it was up, it was wearing abnormally. I just replaced all brakes and rotors with OEM stuff last year. Fronts are fine, wtf is going on with the rear?!?!?!? HELP!

sounds like a frozen caliper...
see if the caliper is sliding freely on the bracket.

But what do I know.

Replace the pads... rebuild calipers if you want, although may not be worth the time/effort if you use cheap pads in the rear.

The pads that were on my car looked to be originals and had some meat left @ 62K.

It sounds like j00 didn't align the tabs on the pads with the slots in the pistons...that's usually the no.1 cause of unusuall rear brake pad wear...

I've had that happen to me before on the rear calipers. It appeared that the pad got bound in the slots in the caliper. No biggie. Just bought new pads and was off.

There's a small pin on the back of the pad. Has to line up with one of the slots in the caliper piston..

but since the piston comes out counter clockwise, wouldn't that move the pad at all unlike the fronts just coming straight out?

The piston doesn't rotate when pressure is applied to the caliper...J00 only rotate it in to get the pad in...
