Default TODA or DC Race header

Im stuck trying to pick a race header. I know TODA is bling, and has a background on making quality/performance proven products. DC has great products but isnt up to par on the bling factor/performance proven products as TODA is. The TODA RH is $1,200/including the sway bar. The DC RH is $304. the toda is almost 4x the $$. whats YOUR opinion on this?

TODA ( i dont know who the hell that guy is)

DC RH

If you are actually considering the Toda and can afford it, I would not make a decision on this until I have seen some dyno charts... I wouldn't base your decision on a bunch of dumbasses on honda-tech saying "$1200 is way too much d00d."

I haven't seen any charts on the Toda myself, but I have heard that it makes similar peak power to the Jackson/Comptech, but that it STOMPS on them in the mid range. If this is true, I would say that the Toda may be worth it.

BTW, how come you are not considering the Jackson Racing header, or the Comptech header?

Someone needs to do a K-Series "Great Header Test" as was done some time ago for the b-series motors.

Man, I wish I could find those charts over on CRSX. Hopefully someone will find them and post them up!

If money is no issue, Toda is definitely the way to go. Toda ex manis have some sweet gains throughout the power band.

the reason why im not considering the COMPTECH is because a member on clubrsx compared his comptech RH dyno with his DC RH dyno. And the DC made more power and better gains. He owns both headers.

Well I have the Toda and couldn't be happier. I bought mine for like $780 or so brand new to include shipping and cash on delivery charges. Benefit of living in Japan, and no I will not be buying Toda headers for everyone sorry.

If I lived in the States, and owned an RSX or CivicSi most likely I would go with the DC header. Why, well how can you argue the price? It looks to be putting up some good numbers with the few dynos that are out there. Now if Toda USA would lower the price to Japan pricing maybe I would go that way. They retail here in Japan for 99,000yen or about $895 with current exchange rate. SO WHY DOES TODA USA SELL THEM FOR $1150 and then you also need the sway?!?! I know it doesn't cost $200 for shipping, especially when shipping in bulk.

Then as others stated if you have the money and it won't hurt you go with the Toda, you don't need other people's opinions on what you do with your money. Afterall, IT IS YOUR MONEY not theirs. To me it sounds like you really want the Toda, but you are worried about people calling you out because you wasted your money. Please yourself and not the masses. It is like when I bought my ITR, some people asked why would you buy that, and not get a Lancer EVO or WRX or a Silvia S15? Why, because it is what I like and that is what matters.

as well as the Prelude header test. SMSP topped out vs hytech and all the other brands.

I think we need some SMSP.

yes, it fits the ep3. but some modification are required if you are using the usdm ep3 b-pipe. i have the t1r b-pipe for usdm ep3 and what i did was, i went to a muffler shop and they cut out about 2-3 inches to be perfectly bolted in with the dcrh. if you dont want any of these kind of hassles, you can use a stock dc5 b-pipe and it'll bolt in perfect. Or get some ctr spec aftermarket exhaust.

I have the Dc it makes good power. I felt a difference when i first bolted it on. You do get a check engine light every 1000 miles. Using a casper O'2 Sim is not recommended, as a heard it could burn out your ecu and then you won't be able to get K-Pro. I had alot of rattling issues in the begining, i thought it was hitting the sway bar, but it wans't it was the heatshield from the cat. So i removed that and i never heard a rattle again. They only thing i dissapprove of is the flexible piece at the end of the header. It's not a good quality make like the flex piece on the Toda Header. When im driving at high rpm and change gear you can hear some air escaping from that piece. It sounds like you have a blow off valve but not as loud as the a real blow off valve. If have no proof but i think that is causing a loss in power on the top end.
