i heard that it is different for 96-98 and 99-00. Can anyone tell me which year only has one O2 bung? i need a new cat for smog. please help me. thanks

 

before 96

 

94-95 GSRs have one 02 bung in the cat.
96-99 GSRs have 2 02 bungs in the cat.
00-01 GSRs have one on the a pipe one on the cat.

 

or you could find a jdm gsr obd2 ecu. they have 1 o2 sensor. no engine light for 1. i had the same problem.

i cant i need to bring it to the smog referee so jdm is not an option...

so someone selling a "98" gsr cat with one 02 bung is really ripping me off then huh?

how can i cover one of the o2 bungs up? is the only option to wled it?

 

M18x1.5 thread.. get a bolt to screw into the bung. Oil drain plugs that match this thread, so that's another option.
