Default question about exhaust fitment??

hey i was wondering what the difference is between a catback for the 4th gen si and the 4th gen vtec? i have an si, but i would imagine that the catback for the h22 and h23 are the same. i ask because i found a good deal on an apexi worldsport exhaust. The website says it fits 92-96 preludes, but the apexi site says it fits 93-96 prelude vtec's. help would be appreciated

also does anyone have an exhaust specific to the prelude vtec on their si, and are there any problems with fitment or other issues like rattleing.

i have a 92 s and swaped a vtec. I tried to install a 93 vtec jdm exhaust. Thinkin it would fit right up i was wrong. The mid pipe is a little too long and i had to chop it off and weld it to fit. I dont knoe if it might be the size of the cats that makes them different/ not fit. But thats what happened. So i would say that a vtec model exhaust will not fit an Si o S. THis is all from experience.

The Vtec and Si models are a bit different in lengths. The SI is a bit shorter i believe.

some have different motors in them, and the headers are different so they have a different length and bolt pattern,

....im pretty sure.
