Best place to run wires...
I need to find out where other people have ran wires from the engine bay to the inside, perfer on the driver side. I just got a PLX system and i can't see anywhere i can run the wires. But if anyone can give me some clues or pics of where they did it would be great.
there are holes in the fire wall for wires to run through...or you can just drill your own holes (be very carefull if you do). make sure you put a rubber grommet so the wire doesn't start to fray.
not to thread jack but since i didnt have the right sized grommet i wrapped the 2-3" section of the wire that passes through a thin metal plate with about a 1/4 thick layer of electrical tape. will this be alright for now? its for a battery relocation...
on a 5th gen, you can go through on the passenger side, right under the fuse box. remove the fuxes box, and ull see a big *** rubber boot type thing, with enough manuvering and a coat hanger you should be able to bring the wire into the cockpit.
yeah, i've used that one before but i think the plug is too big to come inside from where it does. Thats why i was looking for something on the driver side.
