I cant take any more, my Integra Type-R are breaking down all the time.this time it was the tranny, i cant keep pouring out money on this shitty car.
A friend of mine has offered to swap my car for a 88 MX6 with an turbocharged
J spec DOCH 2,0L engine dynoed to 320hp.He has 30000 trouble free miles since he got the DOCH engine in the car.I have driven max 300miles before something broke in mine.I know my car are far more expensive to buy than this old Mazda
but i get a faster and far more reliable car if i go along with this swap.
He also provided me with a link to a website who has some stuff on this engines.

This is the best post yet! Thanks so much for blessing us with your brilliant genius!

...Type Rs (indeed all hondas) are remarkably reliable cars, for the most part...if you're having problems, your warranty should cover it, unless you're abusing the car...if that's the case, you're gonna have trouble with any car. If you don't want it, sell it to someone who will take care of it...i think trading a type R for an MX6, no matter how fast in a straight line, would be a pretty st00pid thing to do...but hey, it's your money.

Woooo.....hold your horses. Please explain your problems with the R, maybe we can help you out?
Bad worksmanship will contributes to many unexpected events. Tranny problem is almost unheard of only if you misshift badly and rev over the redline. If that's the case, it's human error and will happen to any cars you drive except an automatic.

I don't think it's your first intention of coming here and bash on ITR and asking opinion from us of a turboed antique do you?, Because 300,000 turbo = many tune ups with probably new heads...etc. The point is, even if the engine is kept good and fresh, but the car's chasis is too old and probably won't hold it together for too long.

I hope you are not the owner of that MX6 and come here to have fun, because that car is really rediculous, I wouldn't think of keeping it in my garage even if it's for free.

Wannabemx-6,

What mods do you have done to your car? that might help us out a little. If you really want a high-mileage old turbo car, then please put your ITR up for sale. I know many enthusiasts that would kill to have one.

Wow, that should be an even trade then, great now you'll have a wonderful fast car and won't have to worry about your $h!++y Honda breaking down anymore. And you won't have to waste our time by posting rediculouse crap on this board... bi+Ch. Your not fooling anyone.

Peace

Is there a way to have all newbies screened for the first 25 post or so? Help keep out the trolls...

A weak troll at best, and too many smart people on this board to recognize it.

Yeah, you're a fool if you trade the car, and as for 13, it was my impression that type R wheels are aligned to provide beter traction (you know, because it's a shitty car and all), not to maximize tire life.... Alignment and I think camber too are slightly off to made the car handle like a shitty car should.

You can probably tell me all about feminine products
DOCH =Twincam
now you can impress all your friends with an IQ equal to yours with your knowledge
DOHC = Dual OverHead Cam...maybe this is what you mean.

Granted this isn't the best post, but come one guys. He is obviously frustrated, and I can see why. He has done a lot to fix the car and more problems keep occuring. I think he was just posting to vent.

Based on all the problems he has had with the car I don't blame him at all for feeling the way he does.

No he's not - he's just trolling. Either that or he lacks sufficient command of the English language to relay his problem to us in a coherent manner.

Check out the URL he listed - no Type R there - just POS stuff

I say ignore him.

yeah so what if he posted twice.. if i bought an R like that i'd most likely trade my dad straight up for his beater 92 toyota tercel with 100K miles that still drives like a dream but looks like ****. The problems listed above cost some major money especially in such a short timeframe.. thats actually close to insane!.. i'm suprised this person is still hanging in there..

I'll trade you my Conquest TSi for that R. It's even got SOHC which means it'll be less troublesome than a DOHC (err DOCH) motor. Plus it's RWD, turbo and more fun. EIP has one doing 10s that's a street car still. Since your car has absolutely no real problems from that list for a 73,000 mile car I will gladly accept the swap, I'll even put in a working A/C and new crank pulley for you.

(hey, gotta take advantage of a moron who doesn't even have a type-r. hehe)
