Default need help on h22 swap asap

i just put a jdm h22 into my 98 lude. the swap was ob1 and the car is obd2 , i changed the distributor and used the obd2 wire harness, the problem is on the us h22a4 there is a sensor that goes into the block near the crank pulley on the jdm h22 there is no sensor there and no place for it, the car will not start with out this, just to make sure this was the problem i disconnected the same sensor on my friends 98 prelude and his wouldnt start with out it, what the hell do i do now? thanks in advance

i'm pretty sure your talking about the crank sensor, you have to extend wires back to the dist. since the jdm has the crank sensor in the dist, once you hard wire that you should start

remember he said he changed the dizzy, (i'm pretty sure he put his obd2 dizzy on). put back the obd1 dizzy and then run the wires from the two censors to it. I went from obd2b to obd1 with no CEL.

you have to run wires into dist, if you need wire diag. let me know I would have to look around. did this swap about a year ago.

It's the crankshaft position sensor.

You need ab OBDII oil pump which has the mounting points for the CKP sensor and a CKP sensor. Like off your old motor.

sorry foor the delay, basement flooded from three days of rain!!
anyway I found my diagram from the jdm h22, heres the sensors and wire colors
ckp sensor--blu/grn & blu/yel
tdc sensor--org/blu & wht/blu
cyp sensor--org & wht

us h22 obd2
ckp sensor--wht & blu
tdc sensor--red & grn/blu
cyp sensor--blk & yel

once you match these up it will start, oh yeah the cyp sensor is also down by the crank on the obd2 motor, you will need to extend all four of these wires to the dist.

the wiring for the crank sensor helped us out but we are using the obd2 distributor and the wires you listed are on the obd 1 distributor , car is still not running unfortunaly, we could easily wire it up with the info you gave if we were using the obd1 dist. if you know of a way to wire this to the obd 2 dist or to put the obd1 dist on using the obd 1 harness that would help a lot. thanks me and 9k rdlne have been working on this
