I don't think he was trying to make a joke. If you don't already have a gauge, you should definitely buy one before you try to adjust the regulator. To answer your original question, tightening (clockwise) increases the fuel pressure.

loosen = less
directions say to disconnect vacuum line whenever making adjustments. I dunno why that is but I did it anyways.

well I dont have a gauge nor do I have any type of tuning gauges except for reading the plugs and listening to detonation. Ill try my best this way then head on to the track to do the final fine tuning
