you are referring to syncromesh the fluid correct (as in GM Syncromesh)? (wasn't sure what you meant by stock.)

i believe he means the actual syncromesh as in the "syncros" short for syncromesh. It only takes a couple bad shifts to screwem up.
I would try gm syncromesh and see if it helps any.

do you hear any funny noises(clunking), coming from the tranny? i would have to say, that your pressure plate is broken. remove the starter, have a friend turn the engine over. as he does that, use a flash light and check to see if the ribets(straps) that hold the pressure plate together are not busted. also check to see that these straps have moved, if the moved the pressure plate will have too much play in it! this has happened to me more than i care to comment, one misshift and you'll have a good chance of breaking those straps
My GSR is the same way, it is so hard to get into 2nd gear at high rpms i always have to shift real slow. how do i get the syncros fixed?
fixing your syncros is going to cost you an arm and a leg. my syncros were bad as well, it was 5th gear, and i changed my transmission fluid and it helped after a while, i kept on double clutching, first it grinded over 2000 rpm, than 4, than 6, than later after a while it stop grinding at high rpm......than couple more months later my tranny locked up some how, said lik 4 of my syncros burnt or watever, now i got a brand new itr tranny
