4 ch bridged or 2 ch amp
I can get the Alpine MRP-F240 (100 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms) for $140 while at 2 channel amp at the same wattage cost about $60 more. Is there advantages to getting a 2 channel as oppose to bridging the 4?
Btw, I'm using it to power Infinity 6000cs components if that helps.

It won't make a huge difference as it is but if you change your mind down the track and want to run a sub with the amp then you'll rather have the 2 channel, or if you want to run 4 speakers instead of 2 then you will want the 4ch.
that was sort of the plan at first. To use the 4 channel either bridged to power the components or power the front components and stock rear speakers. But they're rated at about 40w x 4 which would work for my rear speakers (~30w) but it wouldn't be enough for my components in the front (90w).
now I'm leaning towards powering the components with JBL GTO 75.2 (97w x 2) and just running my rear speakers off my deck (19w). What do you think, JBL 2 ch or bridge the 4 ch alpine?
opinions apprieciated. thanks.
