dont think its great but, its not terrible. Maybe a couple tenths quicker??? Its all about the start...traction is KEY.

Yah, traction wasn't a problem i hooked up pretty good, first time at track though , i need to practice my launch, i'm not really sure what rpm to launch at, kind of testing it out. I'm saving my money to build up engine for turbo. Anyone know what i should do first, pistons *heard LS are best for turbo* , cam gears ect.

i would say it's a normal time for a first timer. once you get used to the car and practice your launching, the times will gradually get better. just takes practice and patience.

here is time slip

R/T ... .212
60 ... 2.466
330 ... 6.793
1/8 ... 10.313
MPH ... 69.96
1000 ... 13.316
1/4 ... 15.871
MPH ... 88.98

when it came down to Dialing in i dialed in at 15.9 and ran a 15.922, but they fucked up and put me at 15.09 and i still almost beat a 14 second supra

that time slip was

Dial 15.09 *should have been 15.9*
R/T ... .584
60 ... 2.447
330 ... 6.794
1/8 ... 10.334
MPH ... 69.48
1000 ... 13.359
1/4 ... 15.922
MPH ... 88.58

the supra dialed in at 14.00 and ran a 14.802 and i had better R/T his was .601 SO GAYYY oh well i'll look at my Dial in at the end of track next time

work on your 60' ft. try to get it down to a 2.2
i have a 92 si with d16z6 and i'm hitting 15.8 with a 2.2 60 ft. with your 86mph trap speed your should be well in the mid to low 15's with a 2.2 60ft'

89 mph is good for a 15 or 15.1, its all in the launch, find a street that you can just practice on launch at like 4500 and then adjust accordingly, wheel spin isnt necesarily bad, just dont shift until you get traction (or close)

its a good time tho, i've raced against si's running in the mid 16s with i/h/e IMO it has a lot to do with the driver

not too bad, on a new '00 Si, my friend hit a 15.3 with only an AEM CAI, but he's a pretty good driver
i ran in that same car with a toast clutch, heavy 17's and a full stereo and hit a 15.8, so i can't say it's a bad time since i've not done better
practice makes perfect, just get in some track time

You could pull of a 15.4 with that setup, get some good tires and run some good times!

15.8 is about the norm for the first time at the track in a SI. I remember back when they first came out all these people were running 15.6-15.8s, some ppl would pull like 15.4s so ya, thats about right. My buddy got 15.3 in a stock GSR, so do the comparison.

according to car & driver the stock 1/4 time for an SI is 15.7. Considering that is your first time at the track you're doin ok.

it also depends on the location of the track. when i lived in hawaii and then moved to texas, my times dropped by 0.5 seconds. i couldn't believe it when i seen it. nothing was changed in my car and my driving was still the same.

yea, that's not too bad of times.

And you shouldn't feel bad, cause I could only pull a 15.811 @ 90.5mph out of my 92 hatch with a JDM B16a. That's at Firebird in Boise, Idaho, and it was only my second time at the track, so I think we both just need more practice and our times will improve.

good luck

For only an intake, that's not that bad IMO. I was only able to yank a 16.2 with I/E in the '93...

not bad at all. similar to my times which was 15.6-15.7 at 89-90mph when i was at that stage. if your going turbo then i would suggest motor mount inserts and possibly wrapping the intake with heat reflective material, a set of sticky tires and make suspension adjustments for drag racing since you have the capability to with the teins. the motor mounts will help aleviate wheel hop and get you out of the hole faster. i played with around 5k and letting it slip out, 500k of wheel hop but when it catches i'm right there at the vtec engagement point.

good luck.
