I am a ninja now.... gotta love D16Z6+ boost
After 7 long months of gathering info, getting parts togheter , i am 99% done.
Setup:
D16Z6 SOHC VTEC
JE SRP 9.0:1 Forged Pistons 0.40 over (76mm)
Eagle H beam rods with ARP2000 bolts
COMP CAM 59300
JE piston rings
polished crank
OEM headgasket
D16Y8 intake manifold
3 angle valve job
head milled 0.1o thousands
mild port and polish
Block Bored 0.40 over and tapered 0.02
450 DSM injectors
MSD BTM
APEX VAFC
Edelbrock fuel rail
14B turbo
HF manifold
2.25" charge pipes
ebay BOV
Johny race car intercooler 30x5x2
My own CNC machined Adapter plate
My own made downpipe on 2.5" (still on my 2.25 crush bend exhaust
)
So far the setup runs great, and boosts awesome
I reach full boost around 3600 rpms
it goes to 10 psi and stays there (stock DSM wastegate)
1st is no longer available
thanks a lot to every one that helped me out
Dyno sheet will be available on the next few weeks
Future plans:
install wideband, EGT, oil and water temps
Get Turbo Edit as engine management
Full 3"exhaust

nice setup, but all that just for a 14b? c'mon, you gotta get something bigger man
i ran my completely stock z6 on greddy kit for 2 years, one year from 6-8 psi and the other from like 8-10 psi with zero problems. but i guess if money's short have fun for now. just seems like alotta work into the block to not use alot of its potential. nice setup though, and congrats on getting boosted and stickin with the good ole sohc

u know.... on the 14b TURBO map my engine is right on the efficiency range
the turbo doesnt run out of top end... it hauls the 10psi all the way to redline
works good and i cant take it up to 17 psi and be prefect still per the turbo map
for example... cruising on 4th @ 2400, i floor it and already had 2 psi

My TD04HL-13T will hold 15psi to redline, so I know the TD05H-14B is still chillin.
Great set-up !!
I still prefer the good ole AFC hack, but I have 8.4/1 compression, hehe.
Let us know when you get some dyno time and track times !!!
PS: the greddy turbo is a little bitch, hehe. They should call it a TD03L-13G b/c my TD04HL-13T is quiet a bit bigger ( and I concider mine pretty small ( and so do the ladies ) ).
