Default throttle problem? PLEASE HELP

when i was riding today on my 98 GSXR 600 i looked down at the my throttle and noticed that there was a gap between my handgrip and the bike near the kill switch. After the grip is a white plastic piece that is grooved. i tried to push in it with no luck. the bike still runs fine but the throttle is a little loose. what could this be? PLEASE Help

the grip slipping off? Iono, sounds like what my dirt bike was doin a few weeks ago.

Take the grip off and go to a cycle shop and they'll have some "grip glue" or somethin. I hella just forgot what its called...
