Default can i do a jdm 5 lug swap w/ d series motor.

i have everything needed to do the swap, axels 36mm, springs/shocks, knuckles, lca's, etc.... I was under the impression that this conversion was just like ur basic usdm 5 lug but now i am hearing that i cant do the conversion since i have a D series motor and because the D series and B series axles are not interchangeble let alone 32mm to 36mm? Is this true and if so is there anything i can do to make them fit?
thanks eric

A guy on here tried it, but to no avail, the B series uses a halfshaft, SOHC D series doesn't.

Sell your five lug, or get a B or H series.

yes you can swap the five lug and have a d series you either need the usdm type r five lug conv or the jdm type r civic conv. i know it can be done because that is what is on our civic. hope this helps .

Yea, you could probably put USDM or CTR ones outer joint on the D axle, but the JDM one is a no go.

You can do a 5 lug conversion with a D-Series if you have the conversion from a CTR and USDM ITR because they have 32 mm hubs. The JDM ITR 5 lugs have the 36 mm hubs. You would need 36 mm axles in order to use the JDM ITR 5 lug conversion (if you have a B-Series). If you have a B-Series engine, you can swap your axles to 36 mm JDM ITR axles, but if you have a D-Series engine, you can't because Honda never made any D-Series cars w/ 36 mm axles. You may be able to replace the hubs w/ USDM ITR hubs, but I'm not 100% sure. Or you can sell you JDM ITR set and find a CTR or USDM ITR set. I have the 5 lug brakes from a USDM ITR as well as a D-Series engine and it bolts up perfectly. Oh, and if you're getting 5-lugs w/ a D-Series, I would recommend lightweight 15" wheels (like Volk, Spoon, etc) to compensate for the added rotating mass from this setup. I know that will be my next upgrade.
