IMO as long as it dosnt touch any other connectors then your fine. I had the same thing in my car for a very long time and never had any problem.

it works but not as reliable as pins, if you need obd2 pins let me know i have some

HELL no that is soo not reliable or acceptable.. you can purchase the wires with the pins that go in there from honda. re=do it the RIGHT way
