turbo kit vs. puttin one together
I cant decide what to do, ive been lookin at a few kits the FMAX and revhard. IT is a BIG chunk of change, but it seems easier. For those of you that put your own together, i would like a list of everything you collected for the setup, so i can make some calculations to see whats the better route. Thanks
one thing about piecing together a kit is that people always assume it will be cheaper...unless you get a hell of a deal on each part, it will probobly be about the same price as a kit...but the advantage is that you get what parts you want and better quality...also, for a starter turbo, i'd suggest saving up and getting a kit...its much less of a hassle and its a great way to start learning about turbo's and what each specific part does...when i first went turbo on my civic, i went with a greddy kit juss to lessen the stress...but the good thing about piecing together a kit is that you can buy each part when you have the $$$, which is a big plus to people like me who cant drop 2-3K all at once...
how much power are you looking for? i would say if you want 450 or 500whp i would peice the kit togther and get good parts.. but if you want something that will have like 350 or less i would buy a kit. but either way you can get power out of both of them..its all in your pockets and howdeep they are
