just wondering
will blocking off the egr valve really do anything for performance? i don't care about emissions....but i've heard mixed opinions and haven't gotten a real anwser...also will i get a CEL code? thanx
The EGR Valve on operates under idle and partial throttle. During normal and or WOT its functions are turned off. Its primarly for emissions. Ive never blocked mine of so idont know if you will throw a cell. As far as performance, i dont you will gain anything noticable.
it don't open idle....i know this because in nj to see if the egr system if working your gotta put the car on the dyno at 15 mph....so partial throttle maybe so...and i think even at cruising speeds, but at idle it is inactive....any1 else? thanx btw!!
