could bent valves do anything to your cams?

Default could bent valves do anything to your cams?

i was just wondering if bent valves could ruin your cams or cause any damage at all

yes they can if bad enogh it can flaten your lobes

in general you should be ok, unless ur runnign some really cheezy cams, i have bent my valves into a "z" shape, and the cams are still mint.

I would be more worried about the end of the cam where the cam sprocket bolts on. It would take alot of force to brake the cam, I would say the valve would bust apart before the cam cracks. I have seen two mitsubishi 1.8's(both neglected) in my shop now, both times cam gear bolt snapped off. ~$900 repair bill for new cam/gear , timing belt and water pump. But I have yet to see a broken OEM honda cam.
