Brake Pad choice
I'm currently using the cobalt spec VR pads as my track pad. The car is 3000lbs w/ me & a full tank. I'm running r compounds. I would like to hear from anyone who has used the cobalt VR compound, but who also may have used the Carbotech XP9 & 10 compounds? The VR's while extremly fade resistant, would be perfect with just a little more initial bite; the VRs have excellent modulation / grip release charactaristics, and I haven't faded them yet, but (as I mentioned) I'd like a compound with a slightly firmer initial bite.
If anyone here has run a combination of these pads on track, I'd like to hear your comments.
Thanks.

Here are my impressions of these pads on my itr. I have found that the spec VR's, while they don't have great initial bite, are very fade resistant, and easier to modulate. In comparison, the Carbotech xp's have great initial bite, but they're more difficult to modulate, much less linear than the cobalt's. Also, the cobalts seem to last a bit longer.

Any1 have opinions on Hawk Blue vs Cobalt VR? I have been a die hard Blue user for 5 years, but for the RA SEHC race I will be running the VRs for the first time.
