Well, i can't do much of a how-to cause all I really did was get some electrical tape and tape off the lip part of the rim and some newspaper on the tires for overspray. I used some semi-gloss black spray paint on top of gray primer for a better hold on the paint. I didnt do any sanding or whatever, I did that months ago and I havent had any fading/scratch problems since.

Hey I was wondering something. I was looking for OEM centercaps with the H on them that would fit my Rota Slipsteams. Could you measure the diameter of the hole on those HX rims that center cap fits on?

My Rotas appear to be about 2.5 inches also. I wish I knew someone who had HX rims so I could test this out before I got spending a bunch on some OEM center caps.

Lip was not polished, it is still the original silver color, i just taped the lip off. I wish I had the tools to polish it though..
