Strange creaking noise when braking
Question for a 94 Accord lx
When I hit the brakes with a fair amount of pressure while driving, I hear a weird creaking noise. I tried to pin-point the location of the noise but I can't find it. It also makes the same noise when I have the front end jacked up and I begin to lower the car. The noise doesn't start until the tires hit the ground (while lowering the front). This would make one think that it's suspension-related, but it is definitely not coming from the struts, springs, or any of the joints. It almost seems like it is coming from around the transmission. I have heard this noise when I turn the steering-wheel left and right when the car is off (no power steering). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Lower ball joints maybe?
Lower ball joints maybe?
Yea i thought it might be a lower ball-joint but I'm pretty sure it isnt coming from either of the two. It really sounds like it's in the middle somewhere.
