Default Mitco Rhino Vehicle Immobilizer and the Integra Type R

Hey peeps, I'm looking to get a Type R at the end of the year. I don't have a garage and I see it time and time again that people recommend putting it in the garage. I was wondering if anyone used one of these Vehicle immobilizer from http://www.mitico.com/

Are they any good? any weakness for them? This won't be the only security device I'll be using for the R. I've done my research and Im going to layer my security big time, and finalize it with a shot gun. Anywho, Can someone tell me if these wheel immobilizer are worth it? They retail for like 450 - 600 dollars.

If you dont have a garage i strongly recommend reconsidering gettting one. You also live in California which is not a plus.

Short story to help you realize the risk: At my brothers wedding just last week i talked to one of his best friends who lives out it Cali now. He claims that he knows of people who all you have to do is pay them a flat fee and any car you want is yours with a new VIN and registered. I know this sounds like B.S. but this guy isnt the type to make up stories. He also just recently had his GSX-R 1000 stolen right off his front porch which was up a set of stairs with and immobilizer, which mean the thief/thieves carried it down the steps put it on a pickup truck and bounced!

Jeez, its that bad huh. I don't want thieves to stop me from owning what I'll be working hard for. Has anyone else used these immobililzer? And are there any R owners that don't have a garage?

If you don't have a garage, your time will be very short owning an ITR.

Sorry for the bad news. It just sucks that Our caRs can't be left alone.

Remember, out of sight, out of mind.

My friend picked up his R in the morning, gave it a 200 dollars detail, parked it on his driveway. the car disappeared the next morning.
