Default Car about 2 seconds from going off the cliff!

Here is the deal. I have had an issue with the LS/VTEC I have now. I can get the car only to make 9psi, NO MATTER WHAT I DO. I have switched boost controllers, new IC piping, new t-bolt clamps, new BOV, Wastegate. Running inline pro and sc61. Turned up the profec b to 30psi and only get 9. Disconnected the vac. line from the bottom of the wastegate and plugged it in the top, no more than 9psi. Doesnt matter what you do, it's consistiantly hits 9psi (which is wastegate spring coincidentally)

The turbo has no shaft play in it and only has about 200 miles on it anyway. Brandnew also...

Brand new head, compression is strong on all 4 cylinders, no there arent any boost leaks on the piping.

Any suggestons before it's pushed off a cliff?

I have talked at length with 2 very well respected mechanics/tuner and ALL of us are banging our heads against the wall.

For a simple test you could throw in a different wg spring to see if the max reachable boost changes accordingly...

Thanks respected mechanic #1

Forgot to add. The car revs through the rpms with no problems, new clutch and flywheel and the tune is conserative. The car actually runs like it has NO ***** whatsoever. Kinda like driving a stock GSR

Push it off the cliff so we can retrieve the parts =P

What are you using as an intake? I had a similar problem in the past where I was stuck at 5 psi no matter what I did. All because I used some ghetto-rig filter.

Does the same thing with the filter on or off, same thing with open DP or not.

Is your boost controller set on the external wastegate setting?

2 seperate boost controllers, same result.

They were setup for external WG. One came right off a 10sec Honda onto my setup, so i KNOW it was working perfectly.

The only suggestion I have for you is the disconnect the vacuum hose from the wastegate and keep it off so the wastegate does not open. Be careful as you go into boost to see if your boost builds beyond 9psi. Do this at your own risk because too heavy of a foot will put you at over 20 psi in a hurry. That will tell you whether you have the boost controller hooked up to the wastegate correctly.

I can assure you it has nothing to do with the WG hoses/lines.
I have done everything except cap the manny hole for the WG off, which is next...

cam timing is correct too, so no need asking that question.

Try new hoses... If there is a crack or holes in the boost hose going to the WG it will bleed off additional boost... maybe?

by deduction, if all those things cant change the boost psi level even though they are supposed to, then maybe your bosot gauge is broken?

Take off the wastegate, weld up the hole, and see how much it boosts.

He doesn't have to weld anything........he already said he was going to cap off the wastegate outlet on the manifold. Given the circumstances, I can almost garauntee that your problem is you Wastegate. I don't know why you would of bought new pipes and t-bolt clamps to try and fix this, but I guess you are pretty frustrated so that's probably why...........Good Luck!!!! Just buy a new wastegate!!!

Do you have an open dump Wastegate or closed? If you are open you could cap the end of the dump tube and Disconect the wastegate. If the Plastic bag or whatever blows of the end you know you leaking pressure from the wastegate.

On a side note does it take longer then normal to spool the turbo????

Just one question. Where are you tapping your boost gauge vacuum source from?

did you check your couplers for leaks?
maybe you can do one of those pressure tests for your compressor side...
