I have a d15b7 block w/ a d16y8 head and i had it put on w/ a 2 layer head gasket but my boi took the top head layer of the gasket off instead of the middle .... and the head leaked like inbetween the head and the block on the left and right side only.... So i thought it was the head gasket since my boi took out the wrong layer... so i bought the another one but didnt take any layers out so we just put it in and tightened the head bolts down 55 lbs of torque on all of the head studs and we followed the pattern off of the helms book.... But yet the head the space between the head n block still leaks on both right and left side... i dont know wat it can be... can it be the head studs cuz i reused my dx ones..... or could it be somthing else?

 

It could be the head studs, I know the Y8 are shorter than the B7 ones...

 

should i get the y8 head studs instead of using the b7 head steads ? I thought of that too .... since i replaced the head gasket... i'll try to get that done by next month.......
