Default Should i jump on this deal ?

ok so a friend of mine jsut called. he offered me a JDM b16 with toda cams. and somewhere around 70,000 mi on it. he said he'd give it to me for 8 bills. is that a good price? shoudl i be somewhat concerned about the mileage ? JDM b16 with toda cams is hard to pass up, but i thought 8 bills didnt seem enough for the motor. but if you guys think its good then i'll jump on it. he agreed to hold it for me since he's gonna try out a type r motor in his car, and if not take apart that b16 and go LS/VTEC. he also offered me the type r motor for 2-3 g's.

so what do you guys think ? should i be suspicious about the price. ofcourse if i do decide to get the motor i'll put it throguh a full check before hand.
TIA

depends on how you think of it....if its the complete change over yes.... but just the Longbock no...b/c you can get a b16 for that same price for a long block.....also it depends on how well he took care of it....if you do decide to take the motor make aure you have papers for eveything making it legit.......

Sounds kinda fishy, 2-3K for a C5 swap is way low. You can't even get a legit full C1 swap for 2 grand unless you have connections with a vendor

800 seems like a pretty good deal to me if its a totally complete motor espically wit the cams. now if he decided to ditch the R pick it up to 2000 if u can. but like said above make sure the motor is not "hot"

both those prices seem really low. if the motors are clean i'd jump on both and sell the one i dont' use. it all depends on how much of a friend your friend is.

theres something wrong, otherwise he wouldn't have to sell it to you for such a cheap price. Everybody is money hungry.
