Is there a difference between the JDM and the USDM transmissions as far as gear ratios? Our projected HP is in the 230-260 range. Would you reccomend this tranny w/ our HP?

the jdm has a little bit longer 4th gear. it will be a very quick tranny with that power, and youd probably be running bigger than 24"s even with a higher redline

the us and jdm itr trannys with 4.4 are all the same.. the 98 and up spec jdm type r tranny have the 4.7 and a longer (gsr, 3rd 4th and 5th) everything else is the same.
us itr tranny with 4.9 you will be fine with the hp you got. 24.5-25s with that range of hp you mentioned.
