NEED HELP------->>>>
I SAW THAT "WILLANS HARNESS" MAKES TWO TYPES OF HARNESSES ON THE CAMLOCK STYLE 1. IS THE "Y" TYPE AND THE OTHER IS THE "H" TYPE....
WHATS THE DIFF. BETWEEN BOTH?

a "Y" type is a 3pt shoulder system, where both of the shoulder straps join at some point behind the seat.
"H" is usually really long (75'' or so) and has a strap between the two shoulder belts to keep them together. these are typically used on street cars without roll bars that need an anchoring point a long ways back, such as in a sedan. i can show you a picture of my old H belt if need be.
edit: DON'T YELL AT ME, caps aren't cool.

You might double-check your designations, there. I have never seen a Willans harness with H-type shoulders - they use a cross design, with individual straps through a 3-bar slide. They do make Y shoulders but these are illegal in most racing US organizations.
To complicate the situation, they make two different types of crotch strap turnbuckle insertions - that I think they call "Y" and "T" types.

for autox it's fine.
first you figure out where you're going to mount the belts, THEN you buy them according to what you need, not the other way around.

Check the rules of whatever sanctioning body you are going to run with VERY closely before you make your final decision.

don't get the Y belt. just wait until you get your roll bar in and get proper ones that will be legal for whatever you want to do. the Y ones aren't legal in very many places i don't think.
