Anyone Done a Mini-Me with y8 head and y7 block? because i need to know what type of timming belt that you are using, please

the timing belt is the same for all 96-00 regardless of it being a y5,y7, or y8.

 

i've got my y7 belt on mine right now.

 

If I get a y7 block and put my y8 head on it. Is it a strait swap or is their a bunch of mods that needs to be done. My y8 block is smoked and the only block I can find locally that's decent priced is a y7. Also is switching heads pretty simple?

Is your engine harness wired for OBD2 vtec?? If so, then it is just a bolt on to the y7 block, and it will in fact net you a tad bit higher compression ratio

 

how do I know if it's odb2? And forgive me for being ignorant, but, what does mini me mean?
