Default Question about c-pillar bar....

Ive read all the topics about c-pillar bars, so I dont need your opinions about if they are functional or not, I was only curious to know if your seats can still recline all the way back? BTW there are several on ebay for 30 bucks not 100 like everyone else is quoting

there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to recline all the way back. The c-pillar is the rear most pillar. Like back by the hatch struts. You must be thinking about the b-pillar, which is where the seatbelts mount.

personally, I think they are a waste of money..but then again, it's not my money.

don't forget the ebay ones, you have to pay an extra $15 for shipping.

I would hardly call what a crx has a pillar...but it does have a c-frame part of the car, its just not a pillar

in all my years of working on cars and especially now as a dealer technician-i have never heard the phrase c-frame. the crx's cpillar is that roof beam. a rear most bar could be installed on the unibody with slight fabbing if wanted. odds are the integra 94-01 are the same width if someone really wanted to do it.

if it mounts the same way as the one pictured i would say no...and if you reclined til you were resting the seat on the bar you would fell a whole lot more vibration while driving.

yes, I know but I really dont think a bar on the unibody in that point of the car would be very practical seein that its not reinforced like the c-pillar in the hatch where the seat belts mount...

anyhoo what does it really matter if your seats recline all the way back?

This obviously works with the 88 CRX's and probably Civics because of the pillar mounted belts. Does anyone know if these work w/ door mounted belts? Is there something in the B pillar of the 89-91s to mount up to?

Looks like a decent product. I would buy one.

the panels will have to be taken off for installation in the B-pillar for 89-91 Civic/CRXs
