Default DC Sports Short Shifter Adapter

Anbody using these? If so what are your thoughts on it. I just installed it in my 5th gen but havent drove it due to the fact that I have one more strut to replace in my car. After I installed it and started shifting in my car with the ebrake up I noticed the throws seem shorter. But it seems harder to put into each gear and 4th and 5th gear I have to push it there rather then "nudge" it like I used to. Maybe its cuz I havent drove it yet but Im considering taking it out already.

Take it out. I hated mine. Buy a forbidden short shifter. Plenty of guys have em in this forum and love them. I have heard nothing but good reviews on the forbidden short shifter.

I sold off my DC sports one a couple weeks ago. I'm replacing it with a Lean Racing shifter.

I can shift just as fast with the stock rod as I can with a short shifter...seriously. In my Integra (don't know about the Prelude's transmission), the synchros are fast enough that a quick shift on the stock rod is plenty. I saw the most benefit from a weighted shift ****. Shift bushings help a bit too by making it more notchy.

in 5th gens its a bracket that you instal that pulls the linkage out just a little bit further for a shorter throw, its not and actual shorter bar.

i've got a lean short shifter for my 5th gen. its a true short shifter, not an adapter. its awesome. it smoothed and shortened all of my shifts.

heres a pic:

With a little modification, the 4th gen model will fit the 5th gen, do a search
on here and PO.com

I have the FoRum Racing short shift adapter on my 4th gen, no problems and it makes a difference!

your not gonna be able to shift any faster with a short shifter, maybe .01 of a second haha(granted you already know how to drive well), but it just feels much sportier and makes driving much more fun!
