If you want to do it correctly, you will have the holes brazed in. This is a relativly simple process, but if done incorrectly can cause severe panel warpage.
Supplies:
Torch
Brazing Rods (do not get pre fluxed rods)
Flux
Bondo (or lead)
Primer
Sand paper
Grinder
Prep - wash the area thouroughly and strip off all wax.
One, grind the area approx 1.5 inches fro the hole. This will allo bondo, and brazing to stick.
Two, Heat the area using the torch and melt brazing rod into the hole. Be careful here. Too much heat will cause your panel to warp.
Three, Grind brazing smooth.
Four, apply a thin layer of bondo (or lead). Let dry
Five, sand. Start with a 180 grit and work your way up to a 400. If any brazing shows through the surface of the bondo, repeat steps three, four, and five.
Six, apply a light coat of primer and sand lightly with a fine grit. This will show you if you have high spots that need to be sanded more, or low spots that need to be filled.
Seven, repeat steps 5 and 6 unitl you have a smooth surface.
Eight, using a 400 grit sandpaper, lightly sand the area around the the area that you used the grinder on earlier. this will allow the primer to stick.
Nine, Prime the area. be sure to mask ff and cover the area you do not wish to paint.
Ten, Lightly wetsand the panel with a fine grit sandpaper. Be sure you feather edge the primer into the paint so when it is painted, it is flawless.
Eleven, repeat 9 and 10 until your panel is smooth, and ready to paint.
Now you can either paint it yourself, or take it somewhere to have them do it.
Good Luck.
I did bodywork for 2 years. This may not be the easiest way to do it, but it is by far trhe strongest and the highest quality work you can do.

I had my front emblem shaved/repainted (welded surface) and hood grille body matched for $100, so, I would be thinking around $50 to shave an emblem the professional way...
As you can see in the picture my cars' front lip of the hood has no holes, and a very clean job. Whereas there would be a big "h" there before.

thx B21A, but the problem is...i got a totally different estimated price when i called in the body shop like 2 days ago... they told me they had to fill up the wholes with i think (metal, etc..not sure) and then repaint the WHOLE hood instead of just that part..so i was like huh? why gotta repaint the whole hood? so i was just a bit lost there..and when i asked him how much it would cost me..and he said around~~
$200 Canadian Dollars
so there is no other way i can do this? bcoz i think $200 is alotta money just for shaving a emblem

thx for the adivce Big James....and btw...i like the color under ur hood...
Your body shop should not have to paint the whole hood. If they are good at color blending and matching their should not be a problem.
Don't they make a clay that you can lay around where you're welding that will help absorb the heat and limit the chances of warpage?
hey big james, so ur saying if i go to a better body shop and they can mix the paint for only just that little amount i would pay less for this welding situation ??
around how much money u think will it cost me?
like to fill up the two holes + paint = $$$???

JG luder, ya i heard about the clay thing as well...i use to have this clay thing when u mix 2 different clay together and u leave it for like 4 hours, it turns rock hard...
i was deciding to use that to fill up the two holes....but unfortunately i couldnt find it or maybe it was used out!! and the big problem is...i bought it from Taiwan..lol..
so i dont think i'll be using that since i'm not in Taiwan now...

No dude... not fill it with clay. You're thinking of bondo.
When you weld sheet metal it gets hot. If it gets TOO hot, it will warp things. Warpage is bad. So they have this "clay" that you put onthe metal around where you weld that helps absorb the heat.

B12A, so ur saving u repainted ur whole hood bcoz it was already dmged??
then i guess...did the insurance pay for some of the paiting and stuff or u paid everything and it cost u $100 US + the welding of the metal and stuff to fill up the two holes?

Honestly, it is going to be a $100 or so job. When I was still doing body work, I could have the holes filled and ready to paint in less than 45 minutes. Mixing up a small batch of paint is simple. I could usually get it sprayed and ready to go in an afternoon. However, most places charge quite a bit for it, because they do not like to do the small jobs like this. It takes them away from major projects, that is why they charge so much. Just keep shopping around, and you should find something.
K big James, i deciding just to shave the bracket around the H sign so now its only an H, looks not bad...but maybe when i think its worth getting filled and stuff for like $150-200...i will go...but for now..i dont think so..bcoz still trying to get more money for my body kit, veilside side skirts and mugen rear apron
but i dont know how big james, ahha...i wish man...i went to taht photo point place and i cannot put it on here unless i pay money...which i definitely would not do..!!
