Doing my swap tomorrow
Finnaly got 2 days off from work, and school and finished putting 600$ in new componments and 300$ in Cylinder head work all back together. The way i see it not a bad start for my B16a
i'm renting a cherry picker from a rental center right down the road from me, 30$ a day, only need it for a day prolly, if something crazy happens maby 2 max.
Had one question about that actually, they dont give you anything to support the engine, or tilt. What should i do, just buy some chains and attach that in order to drop the engine down, that was the best plan i had as of now (getting ready to hit Home Depo 0.o)
Also, with the axles i got some when i ordered my engine from HMO, they should be able to fit right into the hubs, i was also wondering if there is any seals etc that will need to be replaced on them at the time of the swap...
And one final question I had was what kind of oil should i run in it for the first time. Should i just run normal oil, get some 5w-30 then do a oil change after i get about 500miles or so, switch to synthetic. Or else should i start from the get go synthetic and if so what grade?
Just looking for any general advice, or problems others have faced while doing the swap.

you can run 10w30 or 5w30 regular oil. I'd change it out within the first 20-40 miles, then change it out again around 300-500 miles. then id use regular oil at least for the first 1000-1500 miles before switching to synthetic. this is just one method-- there are other methods/recommendations that work.
