Default need help QUICK!

sup, im almost late for school...my b16 rex is being a bitch this morning.

my problem is, when i turn the key to get it started, it'll turn over, but barely start. It'll start about 10 seconds after i turn it over, and then gradually die...whats up with it? Can it be that it's been sitting there for a few days on a slight incline? Im pretty pissed.

it can be as serious as my cams being messed up? I've been driving it for a long time no problems...The cams are stock, havent touched them. Does it make a difference that the other day i got in, revved it to redline a few times, to show my friend there what my exhaust sounded like? I was thinking, maybe no fuel in the lines. And how much is the starter to replace if it needs it?

sounds funny but I heard that basic stock starter tend to lock up if they sit to long. solution if you could tap it a bit with the holding end of a screwdriver and hmmer lightly. sound also like you could have lost battey charge..

starters go all the time... wack it with a hammer or tap a screw driver with the hammer... usually that will wake them up for a bit. if your trying to turn your car over and its slowly dieing it could also your battery... get your battery tested ... any pepboys, autozone, napa, you get the point... if your battery is dead... your not going to start.

the cam thing.... no way....

He said it starts, but it doesnt run. Check to see if you are getting fuel PSI, your fuel filter isnt clogged.

how do i give it fuel if it doesnt have any? It's half a tank, but i had revved it a few days ago a few times, and might have burned the fuel in the lines? maybe if i get some in there?

Noob question, where is the starter?

look in the engine bay.. its on the passenger side, not sure on b16, but its just above the tranny on the d16, if you follow the fat single wire coming off the battery positive side you'll reach the starter (its only like 18" of cable).

Starter is on top of transmission.

If you car cranks, your starter is OK. If your car cranks, but doesn't fire, its something else. You said you crank twice and it finally starts, but it doesn't run for long. Definatley sounds like a fuel problem to me. You need several things for a car to run. Air, Fuel, Compression, Spark. Make sure you're getting fuel pressure, might want to check/replace fuel filters and possibly the fuel pump, make sure you have no fuel leaks.

Yeah, problem lies in your fuel system somewhere.

anyone here to back up my idea? This happened to me a long time ago, i think my gas was right by E. And i had parked it, and later on that night, it would start, then die. So me and my dad pushed it up, then let it coast down (my sister parks infront of me on the hill). Once it was in our garage, which is elevated on the hill, it started up
