Default What do you guys feel this EG is worth???????????

Im selling my EG to a pretty close friend and i'm just trying to figure out a good price. It currently has a B16 in it with nearly 100,000 on it. The car is pretty beat up(if I were to sell just the chassis, i'd take 2-3 hundred)but it still runs well. He will be buying it minus the ecu, distributer, clutch , throttle body and a few misc. connectors. A few of the aftermarket parts include projecter headlights, gude hood, a few autometer guages and audio gear.

So what do you fellas think would be a fair price for a good friend??? I was thinking $1,200-1,500 range.

1,000 sounds good. Hes your friend and you said the car is beat up with a 100,000k on it. BTW why no ecu, distributer, clutch, throttle body ect.???
Seems to me 1,000 is a good offer due to the fact that hes goin to spend another 1,000 just to get the car to run

P.S. (off Topic) does any one know when i become a H-T member? i Cant take this 5 post in 24hr thing

The deal is, i'm putting a B16a2 into my new CRX and my current EG is going to be the donar car for all other parts needed to do the swap(dist., ecu, injector plugs, etc.) The car still runs like a top, so mechanically its fine. He isn't so concerned with having to source parts to make it run again, as he is very mechanically inclined( a few hours of work and a few $$). He also does not care about the body, as it will most likely be prepped for Group A rally, so some rust and dents are no biggie.

Another question--What different ecu's can be used to run this EG. It has a p28 right now but what other options will he have?

BTW- I believe membership is either 15 or 30 days.

an obd-1 p30 is what a buddy of mine uses. or you might be able to use a p08, its almost the same as the p28.

that's a very nice deal for a buddy, considering you'd be hard pressed to even find a b16 motor (solo) for that price.

Yeah, I figured the motor alone (out of car) is worth roughly $1000. As I said before, i'm not expecting much for the car itself. And ****, the Gude Racing hood is like $500 new. Lights are $200-250-ish. He's a good friend/wrenchin buddy who always gives me a hand when I need one. ****, he went and picked up the motor for me and helped me trailer the car to my abode, so I am going to cut him a smokin deal. Anyone else, I'd start the bidding$1800-$2000 range.
