Default Has anyone used a mugen ecu?

I mean the real ecu that you can buy at king motorsports not the chip. Is it just slightly tuned map for each motor or can you customize it. How does it perform? I have a b16b in an ek and I am starting to look for engine management. My motor is stock except for a pump/adjustable FPR intake and exhaust.

The chip is the ECU. Pop the cover on any of the Mugen unitls from the venerable PR3 based XE9 up to the newer OBD2 offerings, and it is a commonly used Honda motherboard. The difference? The program it runs.

Mugen ECU or Mugen chipped ECU(some chips aren't the Mugen program, just represented as such), it is a tuned ECU meant for one particular setup. If you don't have that particular setup, that's not anything I would call engine management. There are better ways to spend your money - less money that a Mugen ECU or a generic chipping (dis)service costs - and it puts all the tools and knowledge in your hands. See my sig for details.
