Default Alright to change only 1 side of my brakes?

I have 10,000 miles on my rear brake shoes. The other day, some of the brake shoe springs broke and warped the shoes. Is it alright to just change that one side of my brakes? Will this cause my car to brake unevenly? this is an 88 crx si. thanks

Your car will brake uneven. Just spend the extra $15 and get the other side too.

unless you are on a very tight budget, or just simply dont care... for the minimum always replace pads in pairs. either pair up front or the rear.

Don't they sell them in a set anyway? Replace all of them.

Yea they dont, Im just asking if it was alright to just change one side because I have changed both sides 10,00 miles ago and dont want to do extra labor.
