removing and replacing my z6 questions
im removing my blown z6 out of my car, replacing it with one from an automatic car, my dad was telling me before i put the standard tranny on the new engine, he said ill need a bushing that goes in the crank where the flywheel goes, (pilot bushing is this true thanx.
he's probably thinking of the pilot bearing...it is actually in the flywheel on our engines.
Your Dad must be an old school guy
Just unbolt the flexplate, and throw your flywheel on the new engine

Ahhh makes perfect sense now, If you want to replace that bearing you have to take the flywheel off and pop it out from the back, (learned that the hardway - Many broken puller feet and what not hitting me in the head later
