hey, im sure this has been covered before but i have a totally different question. first of all, this head unit will go into my EJ right? im also aware that the harness colors for this particular head unit have different color wires than the stock harness in the car? so my question to someone that knows is, can this be wired to work? and which color wires from the head unit goto which color wires in my stock harness? thanks in advance

I went to Best Buy and bought the harness that plugs into the 99-00 head unit, and then bought the harness that goes from the factory plug for the integra. I then just matched up the colors and wallah. The only thing is that the lights for the headunit are opposite, so just look at the wire (its labeled btw) and match the two wires together for the lights. Other than that, I matched color to color.

what factory plug?

 

1. go to your local Honda dealership and purchase a harness for the 99-00 si cd player.(they sell the factory harness for people who have cut ones)

2. go to best buy and purchase an aftermarket stereo adapter harness for a 92-95 civic, and a 99-00 civic.(the peice that plugs onto your factory harness and connects to an aftermarket cd player)

3. connect the aftermarket harness for the 92-95 civic to the factory harness of the 99-00 si.(the one you bought at the dealership) use the aftermarket harness for the 99-00 si for a reference of wire color.

4. plug the aftermarket 92-95 harness onto your factory harness, and plug the factory 99-00 harness into the factory cd player.(this way you can maintain your original harness)

5. take the 99-00 si aftermarket harness back to best buy.
