whats up fellas, Alright here's the deal I did my first sus. swap on my 88 hatch. It had OEM shocks that were blown to **** and it had Cheap noname coilovers called Max Speed on them. I put in new GR-2s all the way around w/ the same coilovers. Now I drove around for about a day w/o a hood on cuz i damaged mine And i noticed that the top nut on the shock was missing, Not the 2 nuts that u remove to install a strut bar, the one directly on top of the shock I was like ****....So can this damage the shock??? i got one for it the next day from KYB.

Second I recently dropped the car on the same coilovers, and now it seems the front shocks are blown cuz in not too big dumps it bottoms out. So hopefully the car is too low and i need to raise it or something else. So any info. is good info., and any advice or pointers that u may know of when installing shocks, Since there is a possibility that i could have done something wrong. I need answers to both ?s So TIA

What bump stops are you running?

 

yO so dont the KYB GR2s come w/ bumpstops in the box, like little black rubber pieces, right?

 

I had that problem with Skunk2 coilovers so I went with progress springs instead and now my drive is much better. I do not think that just by missing the nut it will damage the shock.
