IDRC Pro- AM , cant run coolant????
I dont' know the rules exactly, but I don't see why that would be a rule? Coolant actually raises the boiling point of water as well, I wouldn't ever run just water.

Running water is fine as long as it's distilled water.

Coolant is a lubricant. I would still use just a tad in the system even though they dont really want you too. Using just water will start rusting parts up. Just dont leak any on the track

I used to run a single core radiator in the summer heat of texas and when I ran water only it used to boil after about 30-45 minutes... **** running water only. Coolant fixed the problem btw.
Nah, they wont check it and even if u did overheat...it wouldnt be a big deal. Its more of a curtousy with us pro racers to help keep the track running since it sucks to be suited up and waiting in a hot race car all day long.
yea coolant is a mess to clean up in a shop.. let alone at the track under those extreme conditions.. coolant/h20 mix for street driving.. h20/redline water weter for track use

that would be alot of water wetter.. Read the bottle and see how much you should use.. I think i didnt even use a whole bottle for my car, and i used h2o and water wetter only..

no car running at the track is supposed to have coolant in it, Period. Water only.
It doubles/tripples clean up efforts when spilled. There is nothing worse then waiting for a clean up when it is a coolant clean up as it is the worse and the longest of all.
We couldn't finish the bracket classes at NHRA ATCO this past weekend due to the fact that people kept dropping one fluid or another. That really sucked.
I don't mean to be a dick, just trying to educate. You asked a great question, just wanted to make sure you got the right answer. A lot of tracks do check for coolant!
While I am at it, if you experience a problem on the track pull off the line and stop safely as soon as possible just in case you are leaking anything. If you are leaking something it will lessen the clean up efforts required versus continuing down the track and the shut down area.

Water wetter is designed to not only keep the water in your coolant system from boiling over, but it also prevents corrosion / rust. using more than 1 bottle is just a waste of money..
