Just wondering how many of you out there have built these motors and what times have you run with them? Also what combinations have proven effective ie N/a, Forced induction? I have one that I am putting together and im gathering more ideas.. Thanks
I am using a stock 99 B20z2 shortblock and a stock 95 Gsr head. With DC intake, DC header, Comptech exhaust, RC310 inj., tuned in with a V-AFC. Dynojet numbers are 171.75 whp and 138.31 ft-lbs. Best time to date is a 13.97 @96.77mph. That time was aquired with the help of traction bars and slicks. I have been daily driving this swap for three years and it has been very reliable. The swap is in my 94 integra (not exactly the lightest car out there!). Depending on how far you want to go the stock set up does pretty well. Alot of compression or more than 8 or 10 pounds of boost usually requires a re-sleeve.
I have the swap in a EG. Stock head, stock bottom end no bolt ons and I managed to catch a 14.2 @ 98mph at palmdale. Now the car is gutted w/ full plexiglass and slicks so I want to see how far I can go with the stock motor before the full buid up.
