The speed sensor on my 1990 accord dx auto suddenly quit. No speedo and other nasties may follow. Service manual says it's under thermostat housing and gives lousy illustration. Where is it? I can't find it. Has anyone replaced one? If so I would greatly appreciate any help.

 

my just be ur gauge went bad.....is the odometer working??

 

Mine quit working too. It was intermittent. Replaced the VSS and problem fixed! Got pulled over once though before it got fixed

Do you have CEL light? It should throw code 17 if it's the VSS.

Incase the other two arent good enough, itll be at the back of your trans, sort of below your intake arm.
