Rear disc onto EF
I never changed my master cylinder and the brakes are still great. If you want a stiffer pedal put in the stainless steel brake lines. That should help.
eyy JohnnyM and jdmB18hatch!!!! I recently bought a 91 CRX disc brake system everything including the cables. Can I use my stock cable or I really need to get a 90-93 cables... I just want to double check on this one..thanks

I have a step by step how to if you need it... http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill.../Disc2Drum.htm
when i bought the conversion from HASport, brian told me it's fine on the street if you swap out just the trailing arms and all, but for the track he recommended the master cylinder and proportioning valve from the integra too.
So I have the whole crx si that is totaled in the front end and I am taking off all the rear brake componets, so can I keep the civic control arm and just use the crx trailing arms and brake calipers and e-brake lines. Also do I need to use the crx's prop valve?
While you are pulling parts go ahead and pull the rear sway bar unless you have one. As far as the master cylinder, I have heard the the EX is the one to use for a brake upgrade.
Right on, thanx for the info. So aside from the e-brake cables take it all of the crx and leave the master cylinder and prop valve alone. Great, I'll do it this week end and let ya know how it went.
The 90-93 Integra M/C is NOT THE SAME as the 86-89 or any 4th gen civic for that matter. For the closest M/C, you need an 86-89 Integra one. The 90-93 one has a completely opposite bolt pattern, trust me. And also, yes you can go out and buy a 90-91 Si M/C but it will cost you 3x as much and have only slightly more of a bore. If you go to like Autozone, they'll bring up that the 86-89 M/C is the same as the Accord and Preludes of those years...I think this is correct, but just ask for Integra. Should be about $30 with core (any M/C will work, they don't know any better).
Also, if you have an 88-89 CRX, plan on buying the e-brake cables from Honda or finding them somewhere. The drum ones will not reach. I tried putting the integra ones on my car with no luck however they might work on a Civic HB.
Finally, be wary of the car you get them off of. The 91 LS integra i bought mine from had been sitting on the ground and moving it around the yard had bent the arms imperceptibly (by eye, anyways) so that I did not see the bad results (in major negative camber) until it was all on my car...
Trust me on this stuff. I've been through this crap and am now having to remove the brakes from my old trailing arms in order to get a straight arm.

I have a 91 civic si so can I keep that one or do I pull the 91 crx si one out and use it? I have the whole 91 crx Si sitting on the side of my house and would like to use it for nothing but part for my 91 Civic Si.

The e-brake cables on the crx are a different length than the civic so use the stock civic ones if you can. The crx trailing arms should fit perfectly though. Not sure how to swap the actual e-brake cable since I used the integ arms and cables. Hope this helps...
The ebrake cables are very simple to remove. They are held on in a similar fashion to how the rubber lines attach to the hard lines (on the fender wall) with that little clip. Same principle.
