Default Greddy Turbo Kit for '01 Prelude

The Greddy turbo kit lists for '97-'99 Prelude Non SH but it's goin on a '01 Non SH. It seems that the e-manage that comes with the kit will cause it to run rich.... if there is already a VAFC installed.. cant we just adjust for the extra fuel?

i have an 01' lude as well and im lo0kin to bo0st it...but all the v-afc emanage arent as go0d as the Hondata with bo0st option. Since everyone keeps telling me that the h22 ringlands are weak...i bought a hondata and when i go bo0st i will tune with that. From wha people say the hondata makes the kit as realiable as it can be, since its bo0st your never 100% reliable but i have better chances with the Hondata...also my friend has a greddy kit on the B16A2 motor with the e-manage and he likes it. But i dont think the emanage on the 01' kit runs it rich...let me know where your getting you kit from and which intercooler!

E-Manage
Hondata w/bo0st

is it possible not to hook up the blue box that comes with the Greddy kit and just tune from the VAFC?

ok.. yes i understand hondata is better.. but if i had to use what i had.. should i just hook up the blue box that comes with the kit and then further tune it with the vafc or will that even work?

Yes, that will work. You will still need something to pull timing during boost, as nothing for this is supplied with the kit, and you WILL detonate in the midrange without.

u can do either one, i for one HATE the emanage, i have many friends that had problems with it, i say run the vafc hack, until u can afford the obd1 ecu and then oberdata or hondata.
