Well it finally happend, I was leaving work yesterday and I screwed my clutch over. first off what do you all think is the easiest way to install a new one? I've done it before but this time I can't get the hub off so I can take the axle out. Now for the 2nd question, I put a new lower ball joint on about 2 months ago and now I can't get the nut off of the bolt that comes down from the ball joint, I guess I over tourqed it but when I go to loosen the nut it spins the whole thing. If I could have gotten that out I most likely wouldn't be asking this Question. help is much appreciated.
Just to let you know right now In the removal process of the tranny I have the entire tranny mounts and everything removed and it is off the motor I just can't drop it.

either lift up or push down ont he spindle to keep the ball joint from spinning so you can get that lower nut off. Try putting a jack under the control arm and jack it up 4-6 inches. It'll work, I swear.

you can leave the axle in the hub but you'll have to undo the upper control arm at it's ball joint. you also might be able to get that castle nut off the lower one with an impact drill.

No need to separate any ball joints when taking an axle out, just take out the lower control arm bolt that connect it to the frame and pry the control arm out and that will give you enough room to pull the axle out.
