There are no steps for modding, start out with intake, header, exhaust, and a new cat. From there you can go either FI or stay n/a. Search for dynos.

why would you want a header and an intake if you go turbo or the peices you bought will choke your NA build? dont listen to him. Plan out your engine package by the numbers you want, and what parts work well together. Dont use the "lego building" mentality. Do some research and figure out what you want to do with your car. Drive the car stock for a while and see what you would change about it before jumping into modding it.

i hear the term lego alot now adays. It is way too overated. Yes you do need to plan but if you dont have a lot of cash to buy everything at once you are doing the same thing i.e intake header exhaust vs cams hi comp pistons valvetrain. one or the other is lego vs buying them all and planning is not. Fact is you can get the intake header and exhaust and buy internals later it will not make a huge difference anyway. You end up with the parts you can afford to get. It would be lego to not do the whole engine at once. The lego terminoligy sucks. Its total bs. Unless you know for sure what each part is exactly going to do then you are just guessing anyway. I think dyno what you have see what you want to accomplish and then work on the parts you need to get where your going. Lego all the way.

yes...buy parts that you have the money for at the time, then buy new parts later when you want to upgrade, then throw some money away while your at it. Lego building doesnt refer to buying parts one at a time, it refers to buying a bunch of parts that wouldnt work together very well.
