base or SH???
how much more HP and TORQUE the the SH model have over the base model? and which one would be better for turbo? looking for a lude and im debating over which ones to get...i hear pros and cons for both models and i've done some research and im leaning towards the SH...i jus want to know what you guys think...thanks
They are effectively the same...
Also, an SH is a pain in the butt to work on... aftermarket parts don't exist in any sort of quantity (they are rare enough for the base model)...
Get a base model 5G unless you've got lots of money to spend for maintanence.
(Changing the clutch in an SH is expensive... for instance.)

don't get SH if you're planning to turbo. The ATTS on the SH will begin to fail (CEL, ATTS light) after 250whp. At that point the ATTS system becomes dead weight.
The SH will only be good if you're planning to add bolt-ons and auto-x. If you're dragging like you indicated with the addition of a turbo, the base is way better for you.
An SH is ~100lbs heavier than a base is.

the SH is not mod friendly. the system is generally pretty reliable, as long as the car is stock/close to stock. you seem to have already made up your mind on the SH, the power is the same as base 5speed ludes, but it is a bit heavier.
since you want a turbo though, the SH is definitely not what you want. in fact you may want to forget about the stock engine entirely, and go with a jdm closed deck h22, which will be stronger in the long run (or an earlier north american h22a1). depends how much boost you intend to run.
edit: the front suspension of the SH is also slightly different than base, designed to further minimize understeer. it's not a big deal though, not worth getting the sh for, especially if you're going to get turbo eventually.
